The Duplex 2205 Pipe Fittings are designed with an austenitic and ferritic microstructure, allowing them to possess superior strength and excellent load-bearing capacity. The versatile UNS S31803 Pipe Fittings are produced with a chemical composition of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorous, sulfur, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen. This gives the robust fittings good corrosion and oxidation resistance properties. The UNS S32205 Pipe Fittings, on the contrary, have a higher content of nitrogen than the S31803 fittings giving them better performance in stress-induced setups. The ASTM A815 UNS S31803 grade is a work hardenable alloy that works well in high-pressure and temperature setups. Similar to this, the ASTM A815 UNS S32205 grade allows them to be shaped in different sizes and shapes. These components can be easily customized as per customer requirements.
The Duplex 2205 Elbow is a versatile fitting in this grade. These elbows play a pivotal role in changing the direction of the flow in the system. They are designed as long or short radius elbows and are generally available in 45 and 90-degree turns. The elbows can be; however, customized in different sizes as per requirements. Advantages of Duplex Steel 2205 Buttweld Fittings
- Strength: DSS 2205 Fittings has about twice the strength of ordinary austenitic or ferritic stainless steel.
- Toughness and ductility: Although Alloy 2205 Fittings is not as good as austenitic steel, its toughness and ductility are superior to ferritic steel.
- Heat resistance: SAF 2205 Buttweld Fittings is more thermally conductive and has lower thermal expansion than austenitic steel.
- Weldability: Weldability is generally good in SAF 2205 Pipe Fittings.

Fabricability of Alloy 2205 Reducer
Because of the high yield strength of Alloy 2205 Reducer, greater forces are required for cold forming this DSS, and larger capacity equipment is required than for austenitic steels.
