A DSS 2205 is a microstructure of ferritic and austenitic structures. The Duplex 2205 Flanges have superior chemical composition allowing them to have good corrosion and oxidation resistance properties. These flanges are easily slid on the piping fixture and welded using one or more fillet welds. 2205 Stainless Steel Plate flanges are flat circular disc that can be easily welded at the end of a pipe fixture and welded easily to another fixture. A gasket is employed to easily bolt the components in place. The DSS 2205 Long Weld Neck Flange is designed with a long protruding hub that acts as a boring extension. These flanges showcase superior strength and provide stability to different piping fixtures during the vigorous flow of media. A SAF 2205 Spectacle Blind Flange is a 2 component assembly having an open end and a spacer end. The spacer curtails the flow of media for repair and maintenance works, while the open end allows for free movement of fluids and gases in the system. The UNS S31803 Forged flanges are processed at extreme pressures, giving them enhanced strength and lower surface porosity.

Temperature Capabilities of SAF 2205 Slip on Flange
Alloy 2205 flanges have a ductile to brittle transition at -50°C and can become embrittled at temperatures ranging from 300-1000°C; therefore, temperatures ranging from -50°C to 300°C are recommended. Excessive heat will not only cause embrittlement of 2205 flanges, but will also reduce corrosion resistance.
