The ASTM A790 UNS S32205 has a higher content of chromium, molybdenum, and nickel giving them a better protective coating against corrosive and oxidative reducers. The ASTM A790 UNS S32760 grade is designed to work in harsh and chloride-induced conditions. They have a higher content of tungsten and copper, giving them an edge over the UNS S32750 grade. An SA 790 UNS S32760 component has a higher resistance to crack corrosion cracking and has excellent mechanical strength. They also have good resistance to erosion and corrosion fatigue. ASTM A790 UNS S32750 has good strength and has slightly lower properties than the UNS S32750 grade. These components have good general corrosion and good tolerances. The SA 790 UNS S32750 is hot worked at temperatures between 1800 to 2100 degrees F. They can also be annealed and later water quenched. Any annealing would eliminate possible precipitation phases caused due to hot working.
